Chapter 403

Aaron rushed over in a panic when he realized his phone was missing, only to see Michael holding it, still in the posture of having just finished a call.

"Mr. Brown, that's my phone, right?" Aaron asked, a bit stunned.

If he wasn't mistaken, Michael had just answered a call on his phone?

Compared to Aaron's surprise, Michael was much calmer, showing no embarrassment at being caught red-handed.

"Yeah, it's yours. A call came in, so I answered it," Michael said as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

Aaron let out a sound of surprise, only to realize what was going on when Michael continued, "It was Isabella calling."

That explained everything.

After all, the only person who could make the CEO concerned was Isabella.

But why was Isabella calling him at this time? Could something have happened with Renee?

Or maybe Isabella had found out why Renee rejected him.

Thinking of this, Aaron suppressed his inner turmoil and asked, "Did Mrs. Brown say anything important?"

"Yeah," Michael replied, waiting for this question. "Isabella said Renee is flying abroad tomorrow. If you have anything to say to her, go to the airport at ten tomorrow."

This news was good for both Aaron and Michael.

It had been a while since Michael had seen Isabella.

The airport tomorrow would be a perfect opportunity.

He could just watch her from afar without approaching.

"I'll be there. Thanks for letting me know," Aaron blurted out.

No matter what Renee had said, he believed she wasn't the type to change her mind easily. She must have her reasons.

Michael added, "One more thing, Renee doesn't know you're coming. So when you show up tomorrow, don't be too obvious, or she might avoid you again."

Aaron nodded seriously.

But he couldn't help but wonder.

Renee had just told him last night that she wanted to stay by Isabella's side, and now she was leaving the country. What had happened?

As far as he knew, Renee had only studied abroad. Where could she be going?

Could it be the Adri Family?

Aaron's eyes darkened.

If Renee was returning to the Adri Family, everything made sense.

She didn't want him to get involved, so she planned to leave quietly.

But if she really went back there, it would be extremely dangerous.

No way!

He couldn't just watch her throw her life away.

He had to stop Renee.

If he couldn't, he would go with her.

Only by resolving her inner conflicts could they be together without any burdens.

Michael watched Aaron's expression grow darker, unsure of what he was thinking.

Unexpectedly, Aaron immediately asked for leave, "Mr. Brown, I have an urgent matter and need a few days off. I hope you can approve it."

He said he was fine fine just a moment ago, but now he was asking for leave because of Renee. Michael didn't need to guess what Aaron was planning.

But he didn't ask further, nodding, "Sure, how many days do you need?"

Aaron thought for a moment, "I can't say for sure, but at least a week."

He could only confirm that Renee intended to return to her organization. As for when he could bring her back safely, he wasn't sure.

Michael shook his head helplessly. It seemed Aaron was truly caught up in love this time.

He was willing to put aside his most valued work to chase after his beloved.

"Alright, go ahead. Just don't regret it," Michael said, letting him go easily. He knew that with such a significant personal matter, Aaron wouldn't be able to focus on work anyway.

"Thanks, Mr. Brown," Aaron replied, grabbing his phone and heading out, leaving Michael alone in the large office.

Thinking of Aaron's anxious demeanor, Michael felt a pang of emotion. If he had realized his love for Isabella earlier, they wouldn't be in a situation where even seeing each other was difficult.

Because of the miscarriage, Isabella had been recuperating at the Wilson Villa. Her uncles, who already disliked him, now hated him even more. Not only was he unwelcome in Isabella's presence, but even stepping into the Wilson Family's territory would get him immediately escorted out by bodyguards.

Even their divorce agreement was handled entirely by Thomas. The last time he saw Isabella was when Bianca kidnapped him, and Isabella must have misunderstood.

He needed to find a way to see her and explain everything.

The next day.

Evergreen City Airport, Section B.

Renee pushed the suitcase Isabella had prepared for her, quietly heading towards the departure lounge. This was her last moment in the country. Once she boarded the plane, her life would no longer be under her control.

She couldn't imagine what the future held. The worst outcome would be death. She had mentally prepared herself.

At the entrance, Renee told Isabella not to see her off any further, "Isabella, you should go back. I can handle this alone."

"Renee, are you sure about this?" Isabella asked, concerned. She had initially planned to go with Renee to see what the situation was like. If it was truly dangerous, she would bring Renee back. But Renee had refused all her suggestions.

She already owed Isabella too much. And facing the entire Adri Family this time, her chances of survival were slim. Given the circumstances, she couldn't drag Isabella down with her.

"Yes, I've thought about this many times and won't change my mind. I'm glad I met you here. The time I've spent in the country has been the happiest of my life."

"Isabella, take care of yourself. I'm leaving," Renee said, holding back her tears. She gave Isabella a light hug and turned to leave.

Isabella watched Renee walk away, then looked around at the crowd, growing more anxious. Where was Aaron? If he didn't show up soon, Renee would really be gone.

Just as Isabella was about to start pacing, a man in a black coat appeared in the crowd, striding after Renee. Isabella's eyes lit up, quickly recognizing the figure. Aaron had finally come through and arrived.

As Renee was about to step into the departure lounge, someone bumped into her from the side. Just as she was about to fall, a strong arm caught her around the waist. By the time Renee realized what was happening, she was securely held in Aaron's arms.

"Aaron? Why are you here?" Renee stared at Aaron in disbelief, thinking she was seeing things. The person holding her was the very Aaron she had pushed away?

Quickly regaining her composure, she pushed Aaron away, but he immediately pulled her back into his arms. He held her even tighter.

Renee instinctively struggled, "Let go of me!"

"No way!" Aaron said firmly.
