Chapter 376

After the bodyguard left, Isabella turned to Renee. "What's up?"

Renee pointed to her own hands, looking a bit exasperated. "It's time for your massage. How could you forget again?"

Isabella had been having trouble sleeping lately, and Renee had been using her experience from the beauty salon to give Isabella head massages, which seemed to help.

But today, Isabella wasn't in the mood for it.

"No need, Renee. I just want some quiet time today."

"Alright then."

Renee knew Isabella was in a bad mood, so she didn't press further.

Once Isabella went upstairs, Renee turned and hurried after the bodyguard.

Isabella's expression had been off earlier, and with the added stress of Bianca's invitation, there was no way Isabella wasn't affected, even if she didn't show it.

After all, Isabella had once loved Michael deeply.

"Hey, wait up!"

The bodyguard turned around, visibly relieved to see it was Renee. He bowed his head in greeting. "Renee, is there something you need?"

He had been terrified it was Isabella coming after him. Isabella's words earlier made it clear she wasn't giving up on going out, and he was debating whether to inform Atticus.

"What are you holding?"

Renee's sharp eyes caught the sealed document in his hand, which looked like some confidential file.

The bodyguard answered truthfully, "Ms. Taylor asked me to deliver this to Mr. Thomas Wilson. I don't know what it is exactly."

Renee, known as Isabella's friend within the Wilson family, was treated with respect by everyone, including Atticus.

Naturally, the staff wouldn't dare be disrespectful to her.

Delivering something to Isabella's uncle?

Renee quickly realized the document was likely Isabella and Michael's divorce papers.

Given Thomas's renowned legal team, it made sense.

If Isabella was handing these over to her uncle, it meant she was truly ready to let go of Michael.

Renee shifted her focus. "Did she say anything else to you?"

Her intuition told her Isabella wasn't as calm as she appeared.

"No, that's all."

The bodyguard answered quickly.

Isabella had strictly instructed him not to tell anyone, and he wouldn't dare disobey.

"Good, I was just asking. No need to be nervous."

Renee smiled, and the bodyguard visibly relaxed.

His subtle expressions, which Renee had learned to read from her training, indicated he was hiding something.

And it involved Isabella.

Instead of confronting him directly, she took a different approach.

"By the way, I just remembered Ms. Taylor said her uncle left something at home, in the living room. You can take it to him as well."

"What is it?"

"Come with me."

Renee led the bodyguard to a secluded spot and then pushed him into a corner.

The bodyguard instinctively wanted to react but held back.

"Renee, what are you doing?"

"I brought you here because I have questions. Did Ms. Taylor tell you anything?"

Renee didn't give him time to think, speaking directly.

"If you tell me now, I might be able to help you. But if you refuse and Mr. Atticus Wilson finds out, no one can save you."

Renee raised an eyebrow, calmly waiting for the bodyguard's response.

She had never failed in gathering information.

The bodyguard weighed his options.

As a subordinate of the Wilson family, he knew he would be punished if anything happened to Isabella.

But Renee was different.

As Isabella's friend, even if Mr. Atticus Wilson found out, he wouldn't harm her out of respect for Isabella.

Having someone to share the responsibility and help him, why wouldn't he agree?

But he was still cautious.

"Renee, you won't tell Ms. Taylor I leaked this, right?"

Everyone in the Wilson family knew Isabella's status. She was the precious niece of the five uncles, untouchable.

Renee understood his concern and reassured him.

"Just tell me everything. I'll handle it. But if you hide anything and Ms. Taylor gets hurt, think about the consequences for yourself."

The Wilson family had a strict reward and punishment system. Those who performed well could ask for anything, but mistakes were severely punished.

The bodyguard swallowed hard, fearing punishment, so he didn't dare hide anything.

The last time Isabella went out and got kidnapped, the bodyguards involved were reassigned and lost half a year's bonus.

He didn't want that fate.

"Ms. Taylor just said she wanted to go out for a drive and asked me to find her a car without telling Mr. Atticus Wilson."

Renee frowned. "That's all?"

"She didn't say where she was going?"

The bodyguard shook his head. "No, but she didn't seem in a hurry. She might go out in the afternoon or evening."

Evening?

Renee suddenly remembered the torn invitation, which was for an event at 8 PM.

If it were for anything else, she would stop Isabella from going out.

But this was different.

Having spent so much time with Isabella, Renee knew how deeply Isabella loved Michael. It was precisely because of this love that Isabella forced herself to let go.

Renee admired Isabella's calmness in facing this situation.

Michael was the man Isabella loved.

Bianca was Isabella's sister.

Michael and Bianca were not only together but had the audacity to invite Isabella to witness their happiness. Anyone else would have lost their cool.

Most people would have stormed in, exposing their ugly faces online for everyone to see.

Renee suddenly had a realization.

Could Isabella be planning to secretly follow them, gather evidence of Michael and Bianca's relationship, and make them pay dearly?

That's more like it.

As Renee pondered how to help Isabella, the bodyguard asked quietly.

"Renee, what should I do? Should I still get a car for Ms. Taylor?"

Renee's eyes flashed, and she quickly made a decision.

"Yes! Do exactly as Ms. Taylor asked, but..."

"But what?"

"But add a little something to the car for extra security."

Renee pulled out a small, discreet button, no bigger than a fingernail, perfect for hiding anywhere.
