Chapter 365

The deadline he gave her was ten days, but Isabella's grandfather's funeral unexpectedly allowed her to finish her task ahead of schedule.

Now, her revenge was complete.

According to their agreement, she should already be on a plane back, enduring a long flight to finally reach that man.

But she couldn't bring herself to leave.

Just thinking about Michael's charming face and how he avoided her made her seethe with anger.

If she couldn't have Michael, she would never be content.

She loved him so deeply and sacrificed everything for him, but she ended up watching him fall for someone else so easily?

And that someone was Isabella.

How could she accept that?

The remaining days were a chance given by fate. She would do whatever it took to win Michael, even if it meant using underhanded methods.

Only by having sex with him could she let go completely.

Even if it meant never returning to her home country, she would have no regrets.

Just then, her phone on the table buzzed.

It was a video call from abroad.

The dark avatar appeared on the screen, and Bianca couldn't help but shiver.

It was him.

Even though they were half a world apart, every time she received his call, Bianca felt a deep-seated fear.

She was terrified, but she had to put on a mask and play along.

She gripped her wine glass tightly, forced a smile, and answered the video call.

"Hey, sweetheart, did you miss me?"

As she spoke, Bianca glanced at the time on her phone.

Considering the time difference, he should be busy with work. Why was he calling now?

"Yeah."

The man responded with a single word.

But Bianca didn't mind. She was pleased to get any response from him and smiled, "Don't worry, I'll be back with you soon."

But the man didn't give Bianca a chance to continue. He cut her off, "How much longer?"

His tone was cold, like a command, devoid of any emotion.

Bianca was used to his personality and way of doing things. She pouted, "Didn't you say you'd give me ten days? It's only been three."

His clinginess made Bianca uncomfortable.

When they were abroad, he didn't seem to care much about her.

But now that she had left, he acted like he couldn't live without her.

He called frequently to monitor her every move, urgently wanting her to return.

She had no right to argue; otherwise, he would stare at her with a scrutinizing gaze, making her shiver.

"The deadline isn't important. What's important is that your task is complete."

On the other end, the man's voice remained cold, but he sat at a large desk with an air of control.

He exuded a sharp, intimidating presence.

Bianca wasn't surprised that he got the news faster than she did.

Everyone around her was his person, and his influence was widespread. No matter what happened, someone would inform him immediately.

But this made Bianca very uncomfortable. She even resented it.

Being watched like a pet, no one would be happy about that.

"Hey, if you keep this up, I'm gonna get mad."

"You know I hate being controlled. It makes me feel like a caged bird."

Though she couldn't afford to offend him, he liked her face, and a bit of attitude helped her manage him better.

"Did you have your people report on me again?"

The man's tone rose slightly, "Why, don't I have the right?"

"But it makes me uncomfortable, with no personal space."

Bianca softened her tone, pleading with him.

"Don't forget, you belong to me."

His brief statement instantly silenced Bianca. She didn't dare say more.

She knew too well how possessive he was.

Angering him would have dire consequences.

She had to comply to get what she wanted from him.

"Of course, I'm yours, from head to toe. But you know my home is here. If I leave now, I might never come back. Can I stay a few more days?"

Looking at the fierce man on the screen, Bianca carefully coaxed him.

She also tried to buy herself more time.

"You promised me ten days. Did you forget?"

"And it's not that I don't want to return sooner. Things here aren't fully settled. You know how important this is. If I leave now, it might mess up your plans. I need to finish the handover."

Hearing it involved his plans, the man hesitated.

Seeing this, Bianca quickly swore, "Baby, I know you're the best. Just give me a few more days. Once I'm done here, I'll fly back to you immediately, okay?"

"I'll be with you every day and night. I'm just afraid you'll get tired of me."

After spending months with him, Bianca knew his personality and preferences inside out.

After her soothing and coaxing, the man finally agreed to her request.

The moment the call ended, Bianca's true face appeared on the screen.

Time was running out.

In the last few days, she had to get what she wanted.

Thinking of this, Bianca suddenly thought of someone.

She found his number and quickly sent a message.

Bianca: [I'm leaving the country in a few days. Let's meet.]

Technically, he was her superior. Though they acted familiar, they were just using each other.

Celestial Dining was the most luxurious restaurant in Evergreen City, known for its opulent decor.

Dining here required more than money; it required status and connections.

So, it was known as the playground of the wealthy.

And he had arranged to meet her here.

Bianca was stunned by the grandeur as soon as she entered.

Even though she had seen a lot with Michael, the class and style of this place took her breath away.

As soon as she entered, someone approached to ask for the reservation number. Bianca gave a number, and they immediately smiled and led her inside.

"You must be Ms. Taylor. The gentleman has already informed us. He'll be here shortly. Please follow me."
