Chapter 398

After a quick patch-up, Renee sat to the side, her face serious as she looked at Aaron. She had the air of someone about to demand answers.

"Alright, spill it. What are you doing here in the middle of the night? Do you even know where you are?"

Renee still felt a chill run down her spine when she thought about it.

If she hit Aaron harder, he might be in the hospital right now.

And the Wilson Family's security was no joke. For Aaron to get in unscathed, Isabella must have known right away.

Only she had been kept in the dark and almost hurt him.

"I know, but I've waited too long already. I couldn't wait any longer, Renee. I needed to see you. I was going crazy."

Aaron didn't hide his feelings or thoughts.

"You're unbelievable."

Renee's face turned red, and she shyly avoided Aaron's intense gaze.

She muttered, "We already talked about this. Why are you here?"

They were from different worlds, and continuing to entangle themselves wouldn't lead anywhere.

That had always been Renee's firm belief.

But Aaron's words in front of Isabella and Olivia earlier had deeply moved her.

It turned out, someone in this world wanted to be good to her unconditionally.

It was a feeling she had never experienced before.

"Renee, I know you feel insecure right now. I can wait."

"But I need you to know, Renee, that in this lifetime, I only want you. No one else."

Aaron looked at her nervously, wanting to hold her but afraid she might push him away.

He tried his best to control his emotions.

"Are you serious?"

Renee couldn't resist Aaron's heartfelt confession.

She knew they couldn't guarantee what the future held, but at this moment, she didn't want to reject him anymore.

Even if it was just a fleeting moment of warmth, she wanted to have it.

"Of course, I'm serious. Renee, trust me this once, okay?"

Looking into Aaron's eyes, which shone brightly in the dim light, Renee lost herself for a moment and blurted out, "Okay."

"You agreed, right? That's great!"

The next second, Renee was pulled into a warm embrace, Aaron's arms wrapping tightly around her.

Listening to his strong heartbeat, Renee didn't push him away this time. Instead, she sighed and responded by wrapping her arms around him.

No matter what happened next, she accepted it.

Hearing Renee sigh, Aaron thought she was still worried about their identities and future. He held her tightly and promised.

"Now that you have no ties with the Adri Family, there's no opposition between us. No one can predict the future, but let's face it together, okay?"

"No matter what happens, I'll always stand in front of you. So, marry me, Renee."

Hearing this, Renee couldn't hold back her tears.

She thought Aaron wouldn't consider these things, but he had thought of everything.

"Who said I was going to marry you? Don't say such things."

"Marriage is too soon for me, and you're just as unreliable as your boss. I just want to work with Ms. Taylor and not think too far ahead."

"Alright, alright. Whenever you're ready to get married, we'll do it. No rush. But my wife can only be you."

Aaron agreed wholeheartedly.

In his eyes, Isabella and Michael were inseparable. Keeping Renee by Isabella's side would also give him peace of mind.

"Who wants to be your wife?"

Renee retorted playfully, but the blush on her face revealed her true feelings.

"You already agreed. No backing out now."

Aaron said, holding her even tighter.

Feeling his warmth, Renee bit her lip and looked up at his face.

She made a silent decision.

She wanted to give her best self to Aaron before they faced any real danger.

Maybe this would be their last and sweetest moment together.

She didn't want to have any regrets.

With that thought, Renee blushed and wrapped her arms around Aaron's neck, whispering in his ear, "Aaron, take me to my room."

They were both adults, and Aaron understood the meaning behind Renee's words.

His grip tightened, and his breathing became heavy. "Renee, do you know what you're saying?"

He liked Renee.

When the person he liked invited him, he couldn't be indifferent.

But he was afraid Renee might regret it. After all, they had only held hands before, never even kissed.

"I can wait."

"No."

Renee pressed her fingers to his lips, slowly sitting up and straddling his lap, gazing into his eyes.

"Aaron, I'm serious. Don't you want me?"

"Yes, of course, I do."

Aaron's eyes darkened, and he stood up abruptly, scooping Renee into his arms and carrying her to the guest room on the first floor.

As the door closed, Renee closed her eyes deeply in Aaron's arms.

If she couldn't spend her life with him, at least becoming his woman would give Aaron an answer.

At the corner of the second floor, Isabella and Olivia were hiding in the dark.

They watched as Aaron carried Renee into the room. Their eyes widened, and they quickly covered their mouths and rushed back to their room.

Closing the door, Olivia clapped her hands in shock. "Aaron really is Michael's right-hand man. He got her into the room right after making up?"

"But Aaron does have a certain charm. He carried Renee with one arm. No wonder she can't let him go."

Olivia couldn't help but laugh at the scene she had just witnessed.

Isabella was still in shock.

But seeing them reconcile made her happy for Renee.

However, their thinking was too advanced.

They had just made up and couldn't wait to be together?

As a fellow woman, she was happy for Renee to find true love. Not everyone could find their own happiness.

"By the way, Olivia, don't tell Renee what we saw today, okay? She's easily embarrassed and can't handle your teasing, got it?"

"I understand. I won't say a word about this. Don't worry."

Olivia raised an eyebrow and gave Isabella a mischievous look.

Isabella shook her head helplessly.

She didn't know what Olivia was thinking, but she was now focused on getting Atticus and Olivia together.

If she could match them up, it would be perfect.
