Chapter 315
"I have a problem that I want you to help me analyze," Bianca responded bluntly.
"Sure, go ahead, I'm listening." The other party's unusually good-natured response caught Bianca off guard.
After all, he was her superior. Just like she was Renee's superior, any orders she gave had to be followed. No excuses, no resistance.
"Why aren't you speaking? Didn't you say you had a problem for me to help with?"
Bianca quickly snapped back to reality, thinking that he might be in a good mood, so she took the opportunity to bring up the issue.
"Let me ask you, what happens if someone betrays the organization?"
"Betrayal?"
The person on the phone laughed, as if not believing it, "Who would be so bold, risking their life?"
Bianca raised an eyebrow, "That's what I thought, but she did it."
The organization had extremely strict punishments and a relentless pursuit order.
Once you were in, you were bound for life.
There was no escape, no way to break free from the highest level of control.
Unless you were dead.
So, she didn't suspect that person at the time.
But now, the evidence was right in front of her, and she had to believe it.
"Who is it?" The man's voice turned harsh, as if already considering how to punish that person.
Bianca lowered her gaze, a cold smile forming on her lips, "Isn't it obvious? It's Renee, who has always refused to cooperate with me."
"I had just given Renee the order to have someone to cooperate with me, but today, that person was discovered before they could act, and the mission failed."
"That doesn't necessarily mean she betrayed the organization." The man's voice was hoarse but calm.
"But only the three of us knew the details of this matter. The subordinate who acted was in contact with me alone, and this shouldn't have gone wrong, yet such a big flaw appeared. The only one who could have leaked the information is her!"
Bianca had long suspected Renee's loyalty, and now this incident confirmed that she was the mole.
The other end of the line was silent for a moment before speaking again, "Bianca, you need to be sure about this. This is no joke. If you report this, she won't survive the night."
"I know." Bianca spoke firmly, "Since I'm certain she's the mole, I can definitely catch her red-handed. Besides, isn't our organization's creed to rather kill the wrong person than let the organization be endangered?"
She had her own reasons and plans for doing this.
Renee's betrayal was a certainty, and she was using this opportunity to get rid of Renee, so her superiors would assign her a new subordinate.
She needed someone with strong execution skills who would follow her orders without question.
Not someone with their own ideas who would defy her orders.
"Renee is your subordinate, you make the decision."
"I'm very sure she has a problem, please issue the order."
Bianca spoke decisively, hanging up the phone and waiting for the news of Renee's elimination.
But to her surprise, a few minutes later, the phone rang again with unexpected news.
"The superiors disagree, Renee's identity is special, you need to report all the evidence."
"What?"
Bianca was stunned, Renee's identity was special, how could she not know?
All she knew was that after returning to the country, Renee was assigned to her by the superiors to cooperate and follow her orders domestically.
She never knew Renee had another identity.
"She has a special identity, how come I don't know? Who is protecting her?"
"Not sure, but the superiors have given the order, do not touch Renee!" the man explained truthfully.
"If your report is accurate, the superiors can send someone to bring her back to the organization. As for what happens to her there, I don't know."
Hearing this, Bianca was momentarily stunned.
"Then what about my problem here? If she leaves, who will take over the beauty salon? If it suddenly closes, it will definitely arouse suspicion from the Brown Family and the Wilson Family."
Since the organization said so, it meant Renee was still useful to them.
Bianca didn't care about Renee.
She only cared about who would handle the work Renee left behind. She couldn't possibly do it herself, could she?
"Don't worry about that. If the superiors find Renee problematic, they will promptly assign new personnel to replace her."
"That's more like it."
Bianca breathed a sigh of relief, but before she could hang up, the other party's next words plunged her back into despair.
"Bianca, the superiors already have concerns about you. You need to remember what you aimed to achieve when you chose to return to the country."
"In the few months since you returned, you've spent most of your energy on your personal relationships. The boss knows about your relationship with Michael, but that doesn't mean he will always tolerate you wasting his patience."
"I advise you to think more about yourself and the organization. Don't forget what you relied on to get to where you are today."
The last sentence successfully drained the color from Bianca's face.
Since returning to the country, she had deliberately avoided thinking about those days, but once reminded, it was like being doused with a bucket of cold water, making her shiver.
If she hadn't abandoned her dignity and climbed into that person's bed step by step, she might still be in that dark, damp little room, getting beaten.
Every step she took today was earned by "sacrificing herself."
She would never let anyone ruin it.
And she would never go back to that place.
"I understand. Tell the boss I will speed up the progress and won't affect his plans."
With that, Bianca decisively hung up the phone, her body tense as if fixed in place.
She couldn't wait any longer.
Michael was her ultimate goal, she had to secure him, or it would be her end.
Glamour Oasis.
Renee had been feeling uneasy for the past two days, as if something big was about to happen.
Even when introducing things to clients, she would occasionally get distracted.
Even the receptionist noticed her unease and asked with concern, "Ms. Faith, are you feeling unwell? Do you want to take a day off and go home?"
Renee smiled bitterly. She wasn't from Evergreen City, and coming here wasn't her choice. She had no home or family here.
But her condition indeed wasn't suitable for work, so she changed her clothes and prepared to go back to her place to rest for a day.
But just as she got into her car and was about to start it, a black figure flashed past the rearview mirror.
