Chapter 107

Isabella sneered upon hearing this. "After all that talk, do you dare admit that Emilio's sudden return to the company wasn't your doing?"

No wonder she suspected him; besides their relationship, he was the only one who could control the Wilson Group.

But she still underestimated Michael's shamelessness.

He had no intention of covering for himself. "It was me. So what?"

Emilio dared to snatch Isabella; it was already lenient that he didn't go harder on him.

"Michael, I really misjudged you!" Hearing his indifferent tone, Isabella's long-suppressed anger ignited. "You're the CEO of a corporation. Have you considered the company's reputation? Have you not thought about the consequences of doing this?"

Even if the Brown Group wasn't a company he founded himself, the century-old foundation of the Brown Group was the effort of several generations. How could he casually use it as a tool for personal revenge?

"If I didn't do this, the consequence would be the image of you and Emilio kissing appearing on Evergreen City's news headlines tomorrow." Michael sneered. "At that point, the company's reputation would truly be at risk. I preemptively killed the worst outcome at the start. Did I do wrong? Or do you insist on everyone seeing you and Emilio kissing on the spot before you're satisfied?"

He didn't regret making that call at all.

If Emilio didn't disappear, how would she leave with him?

Isabella wouldn't believe a word of Michael's twisted logic.

Michael claimed it was for the company and the family's reputation, but it was really his pride that was hurt, and he couldn't swallow his pride.

"Michael, don't forget, we're already getting a divorce. The only reason we haven't completely fallen out is out of respect for our elders. Do you think it's funny to use that to control me now? What right do you have to restrict my right to date others?" Isabella's chest heaved with anger.

Michael had really gone too far this time.

This time he used his power to trouble Emilio. She couldn't imagine if next time, he would use the entire Wilson Group to force her to compromise.

Michael's eyes darkened, "Just because I'm your husband, Isabella. I'll say it one last time, keep that Emilio away from you. If I see him touch you again, I have ways to make him leave the country."

After saying that, he didn't wait for Isabella to speak and slammed the door as he left the house.

In the large house, only Isabella was left. "Michael, you bastard! You can't even control yourself, what right do you have to control me!"

The pillow on the couch was thrown by Isabella to the entrance.

With Michael's door-slamming action, it hit the door and fell to the ground.

That night, Michael didn't come back.

Isabella lay on the big bed in the bedroom. As soon as she closed her eyes, Michael's angry face and Emilio's hurt and regretful eyes kept appearing in front of her.

It was only in the quiet that she realized how wrong she was.

She knew her feelings hadn't completely detached from Michael, yet in a moment of impulse, she made that impulsive invitation to Emilio, and even said she wanted to give it a try with him.

She knew very well how good Emilio was; she shouldn't have treated him like that.

Even if it was to start a new relationship, she should have completely ended things with Michael first before accepting new feelings.

What happened during the day was her impulsiveness.

Realizing what happened during the day was her impulsiveness, she should apologize to Emilio.

She shouldn't have used his kindness to provoke Michael.

Early the next morning, Isabella rushed to the company.

Last night she thought about calling Emilio to ask about the situation, but on second thought, she gave up. She didn't want to put any pressure on him.

Since she decided to let him take over the position of vice president, she should give Emilio enough trust.

But when she arrived at his office and was about to knock, she saw Emilio asleep on the couch, and her guilt deepened.

He was still wearing yesterday's clothes, indicating he had been busy at the company all night and hadn't left.

She put down the breakfast she bought on the way, didn't disturb him, and returned to her office.

Not long after she sat down, Jesse came in to report.

Isabella also wanted to hear what happened yesterday.

"Ms. Taylor, Mr. Blair is very capable. Not only did he keep things from leaking out, but he also resolved everything."

Isabella nodded, but seeing Emilio's condition, she could guess.

Whatever exhausted him to the point of collapsing at the company was no trivial matter.

"Go inform Emilio to take the day off and go home to rest," Isabella ordered.

She didn't bring Emilio to the Wilson Group to work himself to exhaustion, and she also had responsibility for what happened yesterday.

She would find a suitable opportunity to personally apologize to him.

Jesse took the order and left.

At noon, the receptionist called Isabella. "Ms. Taylor, two people barged in insisting on seeing you. They claim to be your biological parents and won't leave until they see you."

These two looked fierce, and the receptionist didn't dare not report it.

The only people who dared to claim to be her parents were Indigo and Harper, no one else.

But she didn't expect them to come to the Wilson Group to find her.

After she left the apartment following her argument with Michael that day, she had her subordinates monitor the Taylor Family, but Bianca disappeared the next day.

Indigo and Harper's arrival was timely; if they knew Bianca's whereabouts, it would be them.

"Let them wait!" Hanging up, Isabella went straight downstairs.

In the reception hall, Indigo and Harper sat arrogantly on the couch, ordering the receptionist, "What are you standing there for? Go get the best tea. Can't you see we're thirsty?"

Hearing that, the receptionist was stunned.

Harper rolled her eyes and spoke in a sharp, harsh voice, "Are you deaf? Didn't you hear on the phone that we're Ms. Taylor's biological parents? If you keep dawdling, I'll have you all fired in a second."

Knowing she couldn't afford to offend Harper, the receptionist nodded. "Okay, I'll get the tea right away."

"Stop!" Harper glanced at her. "Who knows what kind of low-grade tea you have here. I want orange juice, freshly squeezed. Hurry up, or I'll get annoyed if I wait too long."

The receptionist looked troubled. "Ma'am, we don't have freshly squeezed juice here."

Harper's face twisted. "If you don't have it, go buy it. The company doesn't pay you to stand around. I'll give you ten minutes. If I don't get it, you'll be out of a job."

Isabella walked over from the elevator and witnessed Indigo and Harper bullying her receptionist.

The receptionist saw her and looked nervous. "Ms. Taylor."

"It's okay, you can go back. I'll handle this." Isabella gave her a look, signaling her not to worry.

The receptionist quickly left, closing the door behind her.

Isabella walked to the main seat, pulled out a chair, and slowly sat down, raising her eyebrows as she looked at the two in front of her. "Coming to my company early in the morning to cause trouble and expecting my people to serve you, have you lost your minds?"
