Chapter 112

That night, post-surgery Michael was transferred to the best hospital in Evergreen City.

Upon hearing the news, Ethan rushed over.

Originally, he intended to joke about Michael's change in character, becoming so brave and stepping up just to win Isabella's concern. But as soon as he entered the ward, he couldn't laugh anymore.

Michael lay on the hospital bed, eyes lightly closed in rest, his complexion as pale as the sheets covering him.

The saddest part was that he was the only one in the entire ward, with no sign of Isabella by his side.

Hearing a sound, Michael slowly opened his eyes, but seeing that it wasn't Isabella, he couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed.

"What are you doing here?" Michael's voice was hoarse.

Ethan shook his head helplessly. "Mr. Brown, if I didn't come, how would I know you are still so infatuated, using your body to block a knife. I know you're worried about Isabella, but have you thought about the situation with the Brown Group? Luckily, you're okay. If something had happened, you wouldn't be able to explain it to your grandpa. You know how much he cares about you."

Michael frowned, "My grandpa knows?"

Aiden was already worried about him and Isabella. If he knew Michael was hurt, he'd probably worry even more.

"Not yet," Ethan explained, "Most of the news was suppressed immediately. After all, if the CEO of the Brown Group got stabbed at the Wilson Group, it would shock everyone if it got out. However, Mr. Aiden Brown is still in the dark, but Mrs. Brown somehow got wind of it and is on her way here."

Knowing that Aiden was still unaware, Michael breathed a sigh of relief.

As for Stella, she would probably just nag a bit and let it go.

At this moment, Aaron came over to report, "Mr. Michael Brown, we've received word that Mr. Nolan Brown's flight will arrive in Evergreen City tonight. Coincidentally, Mrs. Isabella Brown is already on her way to the airport."

After speaking, Aaron lowered his head.

Michael had been waiting for Isabella to come, but who knew she would head straight to the airport from the company.

Coincidentally, Nolan was returning tonight, so Isabella's intentions was clear.

Hearing this, Ethan couldn't help but comment, "Isabella is really ungrateful. You took a knife for her, and she didn't even come to see you. Instead, she went to the airport to pick up Nolan."

Michael didn't say anything, but his face turned frighteningly pale. His hands clenched uncontrollably.

He thought to himaelf, 'Isabella, is Nolan really that important to you? You would rather go pick up him than come to the hospital to see me.'

At seven o'clock that night, a private jet landed smoothly.

Isabella stood in the wind, feeling unusually excited.

She was taken in by the Wilson Family at the age of seven and raised by Daniel. The uncles she saw most often were the eldest, Atticus, and the youngest, Thomas.

As for the other three uncles, she had barely seen them.

They had been doing business abroad for years and rarely returned home.

Over the years, she had only seen them once or twice as a child.

If it weren't for Atticus using her birthday party as an excuse, she might never have had the chance to reunite with her uncles. And Daniel would be very happy too.

The cabin door slowly opened, and two tall men walked out one after the other.

The one in front wore a black leather jacket and sunglasses, looking tall and handsome.

The one behind had a completely different style.

He wore a white knit sweater with matching pants, looking gentle and refined, with a wheat-colored complexion, delicate features, and a tall, well-proportioned frame, exuding a subtle artistic vibe.

Seeing the two of them come down together, Isabella was momentarily stunned.

It had been so long since she last saw them that she couldn't tell the two uncles apart..

Since they were all uncles, she might as well call out, "Welcome back, uncles. I'm Isabella. Do you remember me?"

Holden, the third son of the Wilson Family, walked in front. Seeing Isabella, his eyes lit up.

Holden reached out and patted her head. "Isabella, you've grown so much. How could I not remember you? You're getting prettier and not as much of a crybaby as you were when you were little."

The fourth son of the Wilson Family, Orion Wilson, also walked over, a rare smile appearing on his cold, stunning face, leaving Isabella in awe.

She had thought Thomas was already stunning enough, but Orion's looks were even more breathtaking.

Orion's lips curved, his voice as deep and pleasant as a cello. "How could I forget you? But Isabella, it's been so many years. Could you tell us apart?"

Hearing that, Isabella was taken aback.

Orion's sharp eyes had seen right through her thoughts.

The Wilson Family had a private jet, so she only needed to remember the time.

Moreover, her uncles' identities were kept secret, so she couldn't investigate to distinguish them.

Isabella smiled to cover her embarrassment. "It's my fault. I came too quickly and didn't get to ask Atticus about your current situations, so I'm a bit confused."

"How about you introduce yourselves?" She blinked, this was the only solution she could think of.

Hearing Isabella's words, Holden laughed. "Isabella, trying to trick us?"

Then he introduced the man in white beside him, "Isabella, this is Orion. I'm Holden. Remember that now."

Isabella nodded obediently. "Got it. Uncle Holden, Uncle Orion, welcome home. Grandpa was so happy when he heard you were coming back."

Holden responded with a smile, "Alright, let's go see Dad. It's been so long since we've been home, he might have forgotten us."

A plain black business car stopped behind them, and Isabella could tell the car was not ordinary.

The car's exterior seemed to be meticulously modified, capable of withstanding armed attacks.

The interior was probably even more complex.

Jesse, standing nearby, also stared at the car with a serious expression.

But Holden and Orion, used to it, let Jesse take over the driver's seat and pulled Isabella into the back.

After so many years, Isabella thought there would be a gap between her and her uncles.

But as soon as they got in the car, they started chatting.

"Isabella, has Michael been bullying you lately? Now that we're back, we'll make sure to teach him a lesson!" Holden said seriously.

Although they were abroad, they kept up with Isabella's news through Atticus.

If Michael dared to bully Isabella, they would personally take revenge.

"He hasn't bullied me recently." Mentioning Michael made Isabella feel guilty. After all, Michael had just taken a knife for her. Seeking revenge now, she couldn't help but feel a bit guilty.
