Chapter 343
Isabella's eyes turned icy as she shot Michael a mocking smile.
"Or maybe you two had such a wild time that she couldn't handle your 'roughness' and bolted."
She still vividly remembered the time Michael had misunderstood her relationship with Nolan and had dragged her into his car.
But if it had been Bianca, would he have done the same?
The thought shocked even Isabella. How could she compare herself to Bianca?
In Michael's eyes, she was nothing.
Why torture herself with questions she didn't want the answers to?
Michael's face changed suddenly, realizing Isabella had misunderstood him. She really thought something had happened between him and Bianca.
But to Isabella, his expression confirmed her suspicions.
Could Bianca have really run away from Michael?
Wasn't she dreaming of staying by his side and becoming his wife?
How could she give up such a perfect opportunity?
But no matter what, Bianca's situation had nothing to do with her. She didn't even care about Michael anymore.
"Bianca isn't with me. You got the wrong place."
Isabella spoke coldly, "I promised Indigo I wouldn't go after her, but that was only if she didn't start trouble. This time, even though she didn't directly affect me, she indirectly caused my grandfather's death. I won't let that go."
Seeing Michael's tense expression, Isabella's gaze grew even colder.
"Michael, I'm warning you. This is between her and me. If you insist on getting involved, don't blame me for being unkind."
Daniel's sudden death meant the Wilson Family had no time for other matters.
But Bianca had plotted to kidnap her, and the Wilson Family wouldn't let her off easily.
If Michael wanted to protect Bianca, he shouldn't blame the Wilson Family for breaking ties with him.
Michael's eyes showed a hint of hurt as he shook his head lightly.
"Isabella, I told you, there's nothing between Bianca and me. The only reason I'm here is because of you."
"Michael, save your fake concern. I don't care about it at all."
Everything that had happened recently had made her see how unreliable Michael was.
Just like what had happened earlier, if he was really worried about her, why did he start asking about Bianca after just two sentences?
He only mentioned her and the baby in passing.
Michael's hypocrisy disgusted her.
Isabella was about to leave when she remembered something and said, "Oh, I forgot to tell you, I returned the gem you gave me to your grandfather."
"When I'm done here, I'll go sign the divorce papers."
With that, she walked away without looking back.
Watching her determined figure and hearing about the divorce papers, Michael was stunned.
She really didn't want to hear his explanations anymore and just wanted to cut ties with him as soon as possible.
Bianca was missing, and he was genuinely worried she might cause trouble for Isabella again.
And the Adri Family, if they secretly targeted Isabella and the baby, he wouldn't be prepared.
Suddenly, he thought of someone.
Someone who could stay by Isabella's side and watch out for danger.
"Wait! Isabella, I need to see Renee. Where is she?"
Renee was Adri Family's person, so she must know something about them. If she was around, Isabella's risk would be greatly reduced.
Michael's voice was loud, and Isabella, not far away, heard him clearly.
But she just thought it was another way for him to find out about Bianca.
She had already said Bianca wasn't with her or the Wilson Family.
Did he not believe her?
Isabella lost all patience and threw back a cold reply without turning around, "She doesn't even want to see Aaron, let alone you. Just leave, she won't see you."
No matter what Michael said, Isabella didn't listen.
She returned to the hall and stood by Daniel's coffin.
Looking at Daniel's photo, knowing she would never see him or hear his voice again, Isabella felt a wave of immense sadness.
Tears streamed down her face like pearls from a broken necklace.
Cinda, already worried about her health, quickly came over with tissues to comfort Isabella.
"Ms. Taylor, wipe your tears. You can't keep stressing yourself like this; it will harm the baby."
Cinda's voice was motherly and gentle, making Isabella lose control and hug her, letting out all her grievances through her tears.
She had lost her mother young, and Daniel had raised her. Now, the person who loved her most was gone.
How could she not be heartbroken?
Cinda understood Isabella's pain, sighed softly, and didn't try to persuade her further. She gently patted her back, helping her calm down.
It was better for her to cry it out today than to keep it all inside and get sick.
After a good cry, Isabella took the tissues from Cinda, sniffled, and asked, "Cinda, where's Renee? Isn't she with the Wilson Family?"
Daniel had treated Renee like a granddaughter, and she lived here now. How could she not show up?
Cinda looked around but didn't see Renee either.
She shook her head, "I haven't noticed Renee. Maybe she's not feeling well and got delayed."
Just then, two figures, one tall and one short, walked in from outside.
The one in the wheelchair, dressed in black, was Renee, but Isabella didn't recognize the person pushing her.
The woman was simply dressed, in a black coat, holding a bouquet of flowers, and pushed Renee to the front of the hall.
As they got closer, Isabella suddenly recognized the woman.
Wasn't she the actress Jessa Greer, who had recently become popular on a reality show?
Online, people said she was genuine and down-to-earth, very likable. There were rumors that after ten years of acting with little recognition, a small reality show had revived her career.
But why did Renee bring her here?
Isabella looked at Renee, puzzled.
Renee realized she had brought Jessa too hastily and forgot to inform Isabella.
But since Jessa was already here, they had to go through the proper process.
Renee first led Jessa to bow and pay respects to Daniel, then place the flowers, before coming to Isabella to explain everything.
