Chapter 202
"I understand."
Michael clenched his palm, and his tall body actually swayed a bit.
So it wasn't all his imagination.
The person she liked in her heart had always been Nolan, who looked similar to him, not him.
So, everything she had done to him over the past three years was to miss Nolan through him.
"Go out, I will consider it."
Michael directly asked her to leave, afraid that if she stayed, he wouldn't be able to resist asking her to stay.
Isabella didn't push him further, she got up and prepared to leave.
But before leaving, she told him her plan.
"I will move out of here early tomorrow morning. I will have someone send the agreement over. I won't appear in front of you again. Please don't disturb our lives."
After saying that, she walked out of the room and thoughtfully closed the door for him.
Finally, she said softly outside the door, "Michael, goodbye!"
They would never see each other again.
Inside the room, Michael felt like a part of his heart was empty.
Deep despair completely engulfed him. From now on, he was going to lose her.
He was unwilling!
Isabella was his wife, and now she was carrying his child. He couldn't and wouldn't let go.
Anger and reluctance made him quickly stand up from his chair. He wanted to rush over and grab her hand, asking her not to leave him.
No matter what conditions she proposed, he was willing to do it.
As long as she stayed.
But when he reached the door, Michael's rationality prevailed.
She was pregnant now. If he rushed over and denied all her plans, it would definitely upset her.
If anything happened to her, he would regret it for the rest of his life.
For now, he could only take it slow.
The child in Isabella's belly was his. Only he could be called the father, no one else!
The next morning, in the president's office of the Brown Group.
"This is the plan your entire department spent three days writing? Anyone off the street could write something better than this. If you can't use your brain at work, then don't bother coming!"
Michael, dressed in a refined suit, slammed the plan on the desk in anger, scaring the planning department manager opposite him pale.
"Mr. Brown, this is already the third revision."
"Go back and rewrite it!"
"Yes!"
The planning department manager swallowed hard, grabbed the document, and ran out, afraid that if he was a second later, it would be worse.
Aaron was outside, watching the planning department manager's surprisingly agile movements despite his fat body. He didn't know whether to laugh or worry.
This was the seventh one!
From the unlucky sales department to HR, planning, PR, finance, even the legal department wasn't spared.
Even if he was slow, he could see that something was very wrong with Michael today.
Although Michael's temper wasn't great usually, it had never been this bad.
It was like he had a huge fire in his heart, scolding anyone he could.
Just as Aaron was wondering whether to go on an errand to avoid the situation, Michael's deep voice suddenly came from inside, "Where are you? Aaron! Can't you see my coffee is cold? Get me a fresh one."
Aaron took a deep breath. It was clear that Michael's anger had now shifted to him.
He could only resign himself to go to the break room to make another cup of coffee.
He just hoped that Michael would go easy on him for being so diligent.
In the large office, Michael's long fingers pressed against his brow, and the anger seemed endless.
It made him extremely irritable.
Even he didn't know what was wrong.
These were all common small problems, but it felt like there was a fire in his heart that he couldn't release, and everything he saw was filled with emotion.
It was just unfortunate for the company's employees. He sighed helplessly and called the finance department.
He told them to double the internal bonuses this month, without any reason.
Isabella had moved out of Elysian Heights Estate early in the morning.
He probably wouldn't return there for a long time. Seeing the scenes where they had lived together would only remind him of being with Isabella, making him feel worse.
So, for the next month, or even longer, he would likely immerse himself in work.
He wasn't the kind of capitalist who exploited people. On the contrary, he was generous, only asking for satisfactory efficiency.
Of course, if someone was just there to take a high salary but did a sloppy job, he would be less tolerant than usual.
In the break room, Aaron looked at the freshly made coffee and thought of Michael's gloomy face in the office, shivering involuntarily.
Would he be fired by Michael for some reason as soon as he went in?
Or would Michael scold him like he did the planning department manager because of some imperfection in his work?
As he hesitated about how to avoid Michael's criticism, a beautiful figure suddenly appeared beside him.
"Mr. Hill, what's wrong?"
Violet's voice was sweet but not unpleasant.
Aaron turned his head and saw Violet, who had been transferred to the secretary department. Her well-tailored dress accentuated her slender and graceful figure.
With Violet's alluring face, it was no wonder Michael personally wanted her to join.
Right! Michael seemed to know Violet.
If she went in to calm Michael down, maybe they could avoid an unknown disaster.
"Ms. Cooper, what are you holding?"
Aaron noticed that Violet was holding an urgent document that should have been delivered to Michael for signature by an old employee.
But Violet was just a newcomer to the company.
This kind of task shouldn't have fallen to her. It seemed that the people in the secretary department had also noticed Michael's bad temper today.
They pushed the intern Violet out.
Violet held the document and smiled sweetly, "This is a document that needs Mr. Brown's signature. Mr. Hill, are you also going to Mr. Brown's office? Do you want me to take the coffee in for you?"
Violet had already sensed the tense atmosphere in the company. She was so eager to take Aaron's task because she wanted some alone time with Michael.
She also wanted everyone to see that she was special to Michael, and only she could enter Michael's office at this time without any issues.
Aaron didn't expect an intern like Violet to be so bold. She wasn't afraid of Michael's temper at all. But thinking about Violet's figure and face, he understood.
"Alright, then I'll trouble you, Ms. Cooper."
"This is what I should do."
Violet said, picking up the coffee and holding the document, she walked to the office door and knocked.
"Mr. Brown, there's a document that needs your signature. I'll bring it in."
At this moment, Michael's voice came from inside, "Come in!"
Violet's lips curved into a smile. Ignoring the curious eyes behind her, she walked in confidently.
