Chapter 304
The moment Renee saw Aaron, she was filled with hatred.
But with a client present, she couldn't just kick him out, so she found an excuse to cover up the situation.
"You misunderstood, this sir is here with his girlfriend. He didn't want to wait inside the room, so he came out for some fresh air. It's not what you think."
Hearing Renee's explanation, the female client took another look at Aaron sitting on the sofa.
Aaron was tall, with a slender and well-proportioned body, and a handsome face that looked no older than twenty-five or twenty-six. He was exactly the type of young and energetic man that wealthy women liked.
The more she looked, the more she liked him, and she couldn't help but say, "Having such a boyfriend is really lucky. He came so early to accompany his girlfriend for a beauty treatment. It's really enviable."
What?
Renee never expected her to take a liking to that jerk Aaron.
But she didn't want to say anything about him now, so she smiled and changed the subject, "Please come inside, we have prepared the VIP room for you."
"Okay, no rush today." The female client said, glancing in Aaron's direction.
At this moment, Aaron seemed to sense her interest. Not only did he not avoid her gaze, but he also smiled openly.
This made the female client's face turn red, and she was even more reluctant to leave.
Renee was so angry that she rolled her eyes.
Aaron must be doing this on purpose, right?
Finally, after Renee's repeated invitations, the female client reluctantly followed the receptionist inside.
As soon as she left, Renee went straight to Aaron, her face cold, and asked, "Mr. Hill, what do you mean by coming here early in the morning to disturb our beauty salon's business?"
She thought he wouldn't bother her again after the last incident.
But after just a few days, he was back.
"I didn't do anything. How did I disturb your business? Ms. Faith, you can't discriminate against me just because I'm a man, can you?"
Aaron spread his hands, looking innocent as he defended himself.
He really didn't do anything. How could she accuse him like this?
The receptionist, seeing them arguing, tried to ease the tension. After all, Aaron had been here many times before, and they could tell he was pursuing Renee.
Shouldn't she help him out?
"Ms. Faith, we can vouch for Mr. Hill. He really didn't do anything, just sat there waiting for you."
After saying that, the receptionist covered her mouth and giggled.
"You guys..." Renee was furious but couldn't explain her relationship with Aaron in front of the employees.
She decided to vent her anger on Aaron, "Come with me!"
Hearing that Renee wanted to talk to him alone, Aaron's eyes lit up, and he followed her.
As they passed the reception desk, he didn't forget to give the receptionist a grateful look.
Aaron didn't expect Renee to take him to her office.
The door was closed and locked behind her. Renee stood by the door, arms crossed, staring intently at Aaron.
"What do you want?"
Even someone as experienced as Aaron was a bit scared by her demeanor.
"What do you think I want? You came here early in the morning just to me, didn't you?"
Renee stepped closer to him, her expression becoming more mysterious.
Seeing Renee, whom he liked, getting closer, Aaron felt his heart pounding.
Was she going to force herself on him?
He wasn't ready for that. Wouldn't that be too fast?
But then he thought again, Renee wouldn't have such thoughts about him. She was probably tired of him investigating the beauty salon's background.
She probably called him to the office to avoid being seen arguing outside.
While Aaron was lost in thought, Renee was already in front of him, speaking clearly.
"Mr. Hill, I can tell you clearly that I don't have what you're looking for. So, can you please stop appearing in front of me?"
Aaron knew this was what she was thinking, but he saw it as an opportunity to express his feelings.
"Okay, I promise I won't bother you about this again."
Aaron said decisively.
Renee was stunned, "Are you serious?"
"Of course, but can you answer one question for me?" Aaron raised an eyebrow.
"What?"
Renee felt something was off about Aaron but couldn't pinpoint it.
Aaron swallowed nervously, looking at Renee, "If I came to you as a private individual, would you still reject me?"
Renee instantly understood what he meant.
She was speechless.
She knew Aaron wouldn't agree so easily.
"Yes!" Renee rejected him without hesitation, "No matter what identity you appear in front of me, you're not welcome. Understand?"
After saying that, Renee stepped back to open the door. She regretted calling him up.
But before she could touch the handle, Aaron grabbed her hand, nervously expressing his feelings. He was afraid if he didn't say it now, he wouldn't have another chance.
"Renee, I like you."
"I didn't come to see you because I was recovering in the hospital. I'm not impulsive. I don't know why, but whenever I close my eyes, I see you. I'm sure I like you."
Faced with such a sincere confession, Renee was stunned.
Aaron had indeed disappeared for several days. She thought Michael, who was behind him, had stopped monitoring the beauty salon.
She didn't expect it was because he was injured.
But even so, Aaron's confession was something she couldn't accept.
They were from different worlds and couldn't be together.
Why harm each other for a moment of pleasure?
Calming her emotions, Renee responded seriously, "Aaron, I didn't know you had these feelings. First, I appreciate your affection, but we're really not suitable."
From the first time she met him, she saw the desire for conquest in his eyes.
Every subsequent "encounter" showed the affection in his eyes.
But so what?
Behind him was Michael, and she was not just a beauty salon manager.
From their first meeting, it was destined that they would stand on opposite sides.
At this point, did it matter whether they like each other or not?
"Why are we not suitable?"
Seeing the coldness in Renee's eyes, Aaron's heart tightened, and he gripped her shoulders.
"Renee, don't reject me so quickly. How do you know we're not suitable if you haven't tried?"
