Chapter 135
Under Jesse's escort, Isabella left the hospital.
When she got into the car, her feelings were mixed.
Handing Harper over to Michael, she didn't know if it was right or wrong, but she knew she couldn't face Harper all night.
Jesse understood her concerns and told her that not only did Michael have people in the hospital, but they also had their own people there.
This way, Isabella would be the first to know if there was any news.
It was also to prevent Michael from making any moves, giving them time to react.
Isabella agreed.
She had personally experienced Harper's cunning, and in this regard, Michael might not be her match.
On the way back to Garden Villa, Isabella saw a message from Nolan on her phone.
He asked if she was too caught up with things to come.
Isabella then remembered she had forgotten her promise to Nolan.
But it was already past class time, so she apologized to Nolan, saying she indeed had something to do and would reschedule the class.
Then she turned off her phone and leaned back in her seat with her eyes closed.
After a long wait at the hospital and the emotional ups and downs, Isabella didn't sleep well all night, plagued by nightmares.
It wasn't until dawn that she fell into a deep sleep, but she was soon awakened by voices downstairs, which were very familiar to her.
Isabella struggled to open her eyes and saw her five uncles standing in front of her, their tall figures almost blocking out the light.
Atticus was the first to notice Isabella waking up and grabbed her hand with concern. "Isabella, are you feeling better?"
Kian brought her breakfast, milk, a sandwich, and a few slices of ham.
He enthusiastically urged her to eat. "Isabella, now that you're awake, have something to eat. Only by eating well can you recover quickly. Trust me."
Before Isabella could take a deep breath to speak, Holden squeezed in and placed a steaming bowl of porridge in front of her.
Holden didn't forget to tease Kian, "Kian, Isabella just woke up; she probably wants porridge more."
"Here, Isabella, try the porridge I personally bought. It tastes great." Holden looked proud, thinking he was the one who understood Isabella the best.
Among the uncles, besides the quiet Orion, there was the perceptive Thomas.
The two stood in the back, exchanging glances as if betting on whose breakfast Isabella would choose. They even secretly extended their fingers to place bets.
Seeing that, Isabella couldn't help but smile.
Kian and Holden started arguing, while Orion and Thomas were having fun.
Only Atticus ignored them, his eyes filled with worry for Isabella.
He kept advising her to prioritize her health no matter what happened.
Isabella was completely awake, looking at the two breakfasts in front of her, no matter which one she chose, she would offend the other.
But no one ask if she wanted breakfast, she had no appetite at all.
She just wanted to sleep peacefully, but why was it so hard?
Looking at her five handsome, tall, and well-built uncles, Isabella suddenly realized something that they were too idle.
When they were abroad, they each had their own careers and fields to develop, and they were very busy, so they didn't have time to think about their emotional issues.
But now it was different. Daniel had handed over all the affairs of the Wilson Group to her. They only needed to hold a title, be consulted when necessary, and it didn't matter if they disappeared most of the time. The only thing they could do was stay by Daniel's side.
But with five sons suddenly back, it was fine at first, but facing their nagging all day, Daniel directly refused to see anyone.
Strangely, since Isabella's birthday party, Daniel's health had gradually improved.
Her uncles, who were used to being busy, suddenly had nothing to do and could only keep an eye on her.
Thinking of this, Isabella's mind was in a fog.
She longed for love, but the overwhelming love from her uncles was too much for her.
Her mind turned, and an idea that had long been formed reignited. She decided to find wives for her uncles.
The first step was to get a list of all the eligible women in Evergreen City, so she could match them according to her uncles' preferences.
Just as she was worrying about who to ask for help, Atticus and Kian brought breakfast to her again. "Isabella, you look so tired and thin. You need to eat something; your health is the most important."
Looking at the hearty breakfast in front of her, Isabella, already feeling unwell, had a headache.
She forced a smile and, under Atticus and Kian's eager eyes, picked one item from each breakfast.
This way, she wouldn't offend anyone.
After reluctantly finishing what she had in hand, Isabella felt sleepy again.
She thought it was just because she hadn't slept well and wanted to sleep a bit more.
But she knew she had to go to the hospital to check on Harper and couldn't sleep any longer.
Isabella patted her face. "Why am I sleepy again? No, I have to go out."
At this moment, Thomas, who hadn't spoken, softly said from behind, "If you're sleepy, just sleep a bit more. It's still early, no rush."
Isabella was closest to Thomas, and hearing him say this, her resolve wavered. "Uncle Thomas, don't forget to wake me up. I can only sleep for ten more minutes, no more."
"Okay." Thomas' voice became even gentler, as if comforting her. "Rest assured, we are keeping an eye on the company. You don't need to push yourself too hard. Rest when you need to."
"Okay, I know." Isabella's eyes were almost closed, but Thomas looked different from usual.
She mumbled, "Uncle Thomas, why are you so strange today?"
Thomas gently patted her. "I feel for you. You should have grown up pampered, not having to make yourself invincible. We are here for you.."
The rest of the words were lost to Isabella.
She was too sleepy and fell into a deep sleep as soon as she closed her eyes.
The room fell silent.
Thomas personally checked that Isabella was really asleep before he sighed in relief.
He turned to his brothers. "You guys are really bold. Aren't you afraid Isabella will be mad when she finds out?"
